This is Dutchess Coffee
We are a small artisanal coffee roastery based in the Harlem Valley, New York. We roast only 100% Arabica beans, focusing on single-origin specialty coffee. Roasting small batches means we can sustain quality over quantity and our customers can enjoy a cup of their favorite roast while it’s fresh!! Our aim is to make specialty-grade coffee available to everyday drinkers.
Our coffee beans are sourced from specialty coffee growers around the world and we choose our beans based on their quality and flavor. Our single-origin coffees offer a variety of distinct flavors from different regions and it is our mission to roast each batch carefully to bring out the flavors each individual bean has to offer.
Coffee has an incredible journey before it reaches your cup. Around 30-40 hands will have handled the beans throughout the various stages of its journey. The farmers cultivate their coffee plants and harvest the coffee cherries which are sent to the mill to be processed into green beans. From the mill they make their way around the world through the hands of exporters and importers on their way to us. Our role is to select the finest beans and determine the best way to roast them based on the characteristics of each batch. We carefully roast and package our coffee and deliver it fresh.
Our roaster uses technology that utilizes ceramic infrared burners and heat exchangers that avoid naked flames heating the drum where the coffee is roasted. The reduction of noxious gas emissions provides a cleaner roast.
Our aim has always been simple; to source, roast and produce the best cup of coffee!
